ESFC 4 - 1 MSC

Nathan proved time and time and time (that's a hat trick for you) again why he prefers playing up front instead of between his own posts. His calm composure, assertive finishing and tactical positioning allowed him to put three goals past the hapless opposition keeper. Ragen was a constant thorn as well, using his excellent control and turning to execute several attacking moves.

Boon, Zhong and Figo put in a virtuoso performance in the middle of the park. Their superb range of passing, control, movement and tackling enabled the mercurial winger SprinTing to rampage down the flanks at an blink of an eye. Or two.

The defence was calm and decisive; clearing apparent dangers and spreading the play whenever the MSC attackers threatened to close the latter down. Keeper Simon, Wak, Jason, Wei Lin and Eugenevra were imperious and cohesive as a unit; unfortunately, a lapse in concentration caused the valiant MSC strikers to pull one back just before the break.

Firebrand Josh was substituted onto the pitch in the second half before winning a freekick, fluking scoring it fortuitously, before somehow earning a yellow card and fluking yet another chance as Figo dispatched a perfectly weighted pass down the middle into his path. Kim, who was constantly hacked down throughout, was unfortunate not to get onto the scoresheet as his efforts bounced agonizingly off the crossbar and keeper, respectively.

As Jay-Z would say... On to the next one.
